Day Twenty-Five
DAY TWENTY-FIVE
MORNING VERSE:
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the
unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit...” (1 Peter 3:18)
EVENING VERSE:
“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves
with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the
flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in
the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of
God.” (1 Peter 4:1-2)
MEDITATION
The 2nd Amendment in the United States
constitution gives Americans the right to bear arms. However, in
the kingdom, it is through a consciousness of Christ’s sufferings
that we are to arm our thinking! Why do we have to arm our
thinking? Because that is where the battle lies! The world, the
flesh and the Devil are constantly trying to get your thoughts on
something other than Christ. This is especially true when you are
suffering in some way! But, being mindful of Christ’s sufferings,
gives spirit filled ammunition to your thoughts. You can shoot
down discouragement, despair, unbelief and hopelessness. How?
You can recognize that Christ also suffered and that what is
happening to you is not strange or out of the ordinary but an
opportunity for you to fellowship with him in his suffering!
