Day Twenty-Four
DAY TWENTY-FOUR
MORNING VERSE:
“…knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)
EVENING VERSE:
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
MEDITATION
Do you know how valuable you are? Though no one on earth may perceive it or acknowledge it, you are more precious than you know! God thought it wise to spend the blood of his Son to bring you back into his family. You have been ransomed. You are not an orphan. You are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. The sins committed against you by your mother and father do not define you. You are not your past. You are not destined to follow in the footsteps of your forefathers because you have received a new bloodline, a new family. Take your time and thank Jesus for giving you a new family tree. You no longer have an uphill battle trying to overcome the sins of your family, you are a child of God.
