DAY FOURTEEN
MORNING VERSE:
“So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, ‘Behold the man!’ When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, ‘Crucify him, crucify him!’” (John 19:5-6)
EVENING VERSE:
“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, ‘It is finished,’ and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” (John 19:30)
MEDITATION
Behold the man! Jesus was on a mission from the Father to reconcile the world back into the family of God. Through his death, our sins were no longer counted against us. It wasn’t that our sins weren’t accounted for, it was that they were not counted against us. All of our sins were placed upon Jesus. Every single one of them accounted for...past, present and future. And when he said, “It is finished” He was telling you that the counting of sin is finished. There is no more counting. The reconciliation has been finalized. It is as if a down payment of a trillion dollars has been made and the only place you have to spend money is the dollar store. Your sin, even future ones, can never outweigh the blood of Jesus. So stop counting your sins, stop counting the sins of your loved ones, the church and the world and start praising Jesus! Start thanking God!
