DAY NINE

MORNING VERSE:

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.’” (Galatians 3:13)

EVENING VERSE:

“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24)

MEDITATION

You may feel as though you do not belong to Christ, but it is only because you have wandered from his table. This promise is for those who belong. Be. Long. Belonging is a matter of being in the same place for a long time. This is the journey you are on, learning to belong to Christ Jesus. What does it mean to belong to Christ Jesus? It means to be with him where he gave himself to us. It means to be joined to him, by faith, in every aspect of his work in saving us. Belonging speaks of being home and at rest. It is through your belonging to Christ, that the flesh is crucified and the passions and desires that once ruled your life are brought to nothing. Find your home at the cross, at the grave and in his resurrection. This is home. This is the table you are to eat from in order to grow up into salvation.
