DAY EIGHT

MORNING VERSE:

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age…” (Galatians 1:3-4)

EVENING VERSE:

“ I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

MEDITATION

Have you really been crucified? Have you settled this issue in your heart? Are you still trying to overcome things that were crucified 2000 years ago? How much of your sin escaped the cross? What measure of brokenness were you able to sneak through the Lord’s cross and his grave? If none, then beloved, why do you live as if it were so? You have been crucified with Christ. The life you live now, in the flesh, is to be lived by faith in the Son of God! He loves you and gave himself for you. Let hope arise! Let your affections be awakened to the depth and magnitude of his love. Quiet your heart. Take your eyes off of all the things that tempt you to despair, guilt and shame and turn your eyes to Jesus.
