DAY SEVENTEEN

“ For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all…” (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

MEDITATION
There is a groan deep inside each born again believer that longs for immortality and life. We instinctively rebel against the thought of death, knowing we were never made for it. It is through the appearing of Jesus Christ, that this longing deep within our spirits is conformed. He triumphed over death, through the cross, and disarmed the devil through his wonderful salvation. For the believer, death has been abolished. It is no longer a dominating fear holding us captive. For the one who has died, is free from sin. How can death intimidate those who have died with Christ and been joined to him by the Holy Spirit? You were made by God for life and immortality. However, when you are faced with the reality of death, you are tempted to despair, to fear and to lose heart. Remember that Jesus holds the keys to Death and Hades, that he has overcome the Devil once and for all and life and immortality is now our inheritance in him.
